Radio became my stepping stone into understanding the world of news and broadcasting. It was at our local radio station, Alex fm that I began my journey on radio as a broadcaster. Little did I know that the experience gained there would set me apart at a television news reading audition

Boipelo’s debut on radio was on Alex fm, a community radio station based in her home town Alexandra, Johannesburg. She joined Alex fm as an English newsreader intern in 2015, during her Honours year at university. She later went on to establish and host an hour long youth talk show called FUTURE LEADERS WITH BOIPELO MABE on the drive time show. (Alex fm 89.1)

As a well articulated and knowledgeable young woman, Boipelo is regularly invited on current affairs shows to feature as a political analyst or a panellist to give comment and insight on relevant topics particularly from a youth’s perspective.
